Key Responsibilities:

You will lead building surveying assessments of complex, high-risk, high-value new build and conversion projects. Manage input from other building surveying specialists, engage with developers, and provide expert advice on NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and codes to ensure compliance and manage technical risks.

• Conduct site inspections and support high-risk projects
• Deputise for the Technical Operations Manager as required
• Provide technical support within your area of expertise
• Mentor and review team members, support training and development
• Guide builders and consultants on Building Regulations and NHBC Standards
• Resolve customer complaints and manage conflicts appropriately
• Represent NHBC at external events and industry groups
• Deliver technical presentations to internal and external audiences

Candidate Profile:

• Must hold Class 3 (3H) status as a Registered Building Inspector
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude
• IT literate with software proficiency
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
• Experience in plan appraisal, managing budgets, and building control
• Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally

Education & Qualifications:

• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CABE, FCABE, MCIOB, RICS)
• Desirable: construction-related degree (BSc/MSc)
