Background:

Due to major programme wins across our Health and Real Estate sectors, Turner & Townsend has a new
opportunity for Procurement professionals to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Engage on and influence large scale flagship projects
• Be involved in the mobilsation and delivery on one of the country's key health programmes

The wider team also includes specialists in procurement and contract strategy, claims management and dispute resolution services.

We are the first consultancy to be recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for excellence in the procurement processes that it provides for clients in the construction sector. Our Team received a Procurement Excellence Programme Awarddemonstrating excellence in our procurement and supply chain activities.

The Opportunity:

The individual will work and lead our highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services

• Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.
• Lead and manage end to end procurement services on major projects or programmes.
• Lead and support the development of the procurement services provided by Turner & Townsend.
• Lead and develop a team to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.
• Managing client relationships and related commission outputs and deliverables.
• Lead and support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s service proposition.
• Lead on bid preparation and proposal documentation and support the work winning capability of the contract services division.
• Support the delivery of both team and wider business targets.

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

• Leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for Public and Private sector clients.
• A strong background in tender preparation, development and management ideally including negotiation.
• Commission, client relationship, and people management
• Experience of developing and using various forms of contracts with particular focus on NEC and JCT.
• Cross sector experience with a strong public procurement background is highly desirable,
• Have achieved, working towards or willing to work towards MCIPs accreditation.
• Preferably possess degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement.
• Preferably possess experience working in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (roads, rail etc) sectors

Skills

• Ability to lead and develop key strategies and documentation for major procurement projects that complies with Public SectorRegulations or equivalent.
• Able to build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identify and resolve client’s issues.
• Able to develop supplier evaluation and commercial principles and modelling strategies.
• Able to develop Supply Chain Intelligence strategies and analysis.
• Able to develop Supplier Relationship Management strategies and activities.
• Able to manage work/business development/career development activities.
