The Role

As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support your store team by driving sales performance and managing daily store operations. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

We are looking for people who:

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting targets through KPI focus
  • Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases
  • Offer VIP concierge services, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings
  • Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge of our range
  • Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling
  • Maintain the store’s appearance and ensure operational tasks are completed, including stock deliveries and customer outreach
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement solutions with your team
  • Follow internal policies to remain compliant, safe, and legal
  • Support junior team members and embody Majestic’s Ways of Working
  • As a key holder, manage store opening and closing procedures confidently

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with a passion for problem-solving
  • Adaptable and resilient to business changes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET qualifications
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
