The Role

As a Sales Assistant / Driver, you’ll support your store team by driving sales performance and managing the day-to-day operations of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

We are looking for people who:

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting your team in meeting and exceeding targets through focusing on KPI delivery.
  • Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to foster business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Offer your customers a VIP concierge service, actively contacting them with updates on products and tastings.
  • Share your passion for products with customers through in-depth knowledge of our range.
  • Take ownership of your wine knowledge, continuously learning about our products to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
  • Maintain the physical appearance and cleanliness of your store, both internally and externally.
  • Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising stock deliveries, and calling customers to drive sales.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and collaborate with your team to implement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements by completing mandatory training.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, embodying Majestic’s ways of working.
  • As a key holder, manage store opening and closing procedures confidently.
  • Be willing to deliver wine around the local area using company vans if needed.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for resolving problems.
  • Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET qualifications.
  • Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
