Are you friendly, welcoming, and passionate about creating memorable dining experiences? We are looking for a warm and professional Maitre D' to be the face of our brand-new restaurant on the picturesque Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new venture in a dynamic and rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage all Food & Beverage (F&B) reservations, coordinating with guests and internal teams to optimise bookings and ensure seamless service.
  • Handle walk-ins efficiently to minimise wait times and maximise guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure smooth seating flow and service.
  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and offering initial recommendations.
  • Ensure menus are clean, up to date, and well-presented at all times.
  • Maintain and look after all equipment belonging to the Host Team, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working order.
  • Address guest enquiries and accommodate special requests to enhance their experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance, waiting area, and reservation system.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, assisting with problem resolution when needed.
  • Assist with managing phone enquiries and online bookings.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service etiquette.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a front-of-house or customer service role preferred.
  • Experience managing reservations, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy restaurant setting.
  • A friendly, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
