Job summary

LifeScan is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Engineer to support the safe, efficient operation of its manufacturing plant. This hands-on role covers day shift maintenance and night shift facilities work, in a highly regulated medical device environment.

You'll bring electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience, familiarity with pneumatic systems and PLC-controlled equipment, and be comfortable using CMMS and document management systems.

Qualifications

  • We’re keen to hear from engineers with a background in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance who enjoy problem-solving and working as part of a team.
  • Experience working with pneumatic systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and interpreting electrical or pneumatic schematics would be highly beneficial.
  • You’ll ideally have experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or similarly regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and document management systems, along with knowledge of low and extra-low voltage systems, would be advantageous.
  • Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support safe, efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide hands-on maintenance during day shifts and cover facilities plant at night.
  • Work with electrical and/or mechanical maintenance tasks in a regulated environment.
  • Utilise CMMS and document management systems.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and training.

The Role LifeScan is looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Engineer to support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of its manufacturing plant and facilities.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering role, supporting manufacturing equipment during the day and facilities plant during night shift cover.

This opportunity would suit an engineer with electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience who enjoys problem-solving and working as part of a supportive team.

You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team where safety, reliability and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.

Shift Pattern

12-hour shifts (7:00am to 7:00pm and 7:00pm to 7:00am) 4 days on, 4 days off
