Job description

The Estates Department is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to work as part of a multidisciplinary management team.

The department provides management, development, maintenance, and operational support for the Trust's buildings and engineering infrastructure.

The role is critical to the Estates Department's maintenance support service and is demanding and varied, covering a range of engineering services. It offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning and maintenance of engineering services across the Trust's clinical and non-clinical facilities. The position is part of a team dedicated to improving the quality and safety of the Trust's healthcare facilities.

The successful candidate will be based at Bridlington Hospital but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites and travel independently across Trust sites as required.

You will be part of the Estates department at Bridlington Hospital, working days Monday to Friday, with flexibility to cover other Trust sites as needed.

Main duties
  1. Undertake Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) of electrical equipment.
  2. Test, maintain, and service thermostatic devices, working as part of a maintenance team to meet Facilities Management needs.
  3. Carry out general duties including cleaning within plant rooms and workshops.
  4. Perform maintenance duties such as fault finding, soldering, and calibration of equipment, requiring knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  5. Work in various locations, including at heights and confined spaces, using appropriate training and equipment.
