A leading NHS organization is seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Worker to join their dedicated team in Dorset. The successful candidate will provide essential electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance across a variety of healthcare facilities, ensuring the highest standards of service and safety. This full-time role includes benefits such as flexible working opportunities, an NHS pension scheme, and extensive training. Ideal candidates will possess a full UK driving license and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, and conscientious Maintenance Worker to join the service delivery team.
The vacancy will be working in the conurbation of East and West Dorset, including Poole, Bournemouth, Wimborne, Weymouth, Dorchester, Bridport, and up to Sherborne.
As a full-time Maintenance Worker, you will be part of a 50-strong team providing electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance across all our premises in Dorset. These include minor injury units, inpatient hospitals, community clinics, and offices.
This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service, which may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary from November 2025 or later. This presents an exciting opportunity to join a developing organization committed to NHS values and patient care. NHS terms and conditions, including pensions, will continue for staff transferring or recruited directly.
Training and mentoring will be provided, including overnight attendance at training venues. Flexibility, teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to react calmly to incidents are essential.
Employment requires a DBS check, which will be covered by the Trust. Applicants with a valid DBS certificate via the update service can present that instead of a new check.
We are a dynamic NHS Trust providing a wide range of healthcare services across Dorset, rated 'outstanding' by CQC. We value diversity, promote equal opportunities, and aim to empower our staff and serve our communities effectively.
