We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to work across our residential homes and schools and be responsible for stock control at our maintenance unit in Penketh, Warrington.
Maintenance Technicians ensure the premises and equipment are maintained to a professional and statutory standard to provide all employees and residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment.
Our Maintenance Technicians are experienced technicians with an eye for quality. The Technicians have in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures to enable them to keep the buildings in an excellent state of repair. They are expected to embrace and engage with continuous improvement of all the premises, supported by professional development for themselves and members of the team.
Experience
Proven experience working as a Maintenance Technician is essential
Two years' experience is required
Understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, decorating tasks and other systems
Knowledge of groundworks
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Experience in a health and social care setting is desirable but the right attitude and willingness to understand the needs of supporting our homes is essential

Qualifications
Fire Door Assessor, PAT Testing and basic electrical qualification are desirable
Additional requirements
The working hours are Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm with one weekend in 6 on call.
May have access to a company vehicle for Bright Futures work use.
