Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMetro Services is looking to immediately fill Maintenance Technician positions for a Manufacturing facility in Manchester, TN. This is a direct-hire position. Apply Now!
Duties for this position include:

  • General maintenance projects both preventative and emergency including the operation and testing of filling equipment, pumps, mixers, compressors, labelers, and the ability to socket weld PVC pipes
  • Assist in administering equipment according to PM schedule
  • In cooperation with the Maintenance Manager, update all PM checklists and maintain these records by the production department and GMP requirements
  • Assist in the development of a complete library of parts and operating manuals for equipment and plant
  • Respond to emergency calls from the tank farm, warehouse, and production areas, assessing problems and getting equipment operational as quickly as possible
  • Responsible for maintenance tools and parts inventory
  • Recommend and cost equipment and parts to complete PM projects
  • Operation of heavy equipment including fork trucks
  • Operation of power tools including drills, saws, and grinders


Compensation (USD):
$24.00 - $28.00/hour depending on experience 5% MFG Bonus
Schedule:
2nd Shifts4:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.May be asked to come in at 3:30 p.m. to start the line
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical Degree or Certifications desired)
  • General math skills
  • Ability to communicate (in English) both verbally and written
  • General computer and email competency
  • Demonstrable aptitude and experience in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system repairs and maintenance
  • Experience working with high-speed net weigh fillers, automated cappers, close tolerance gear-driven pump fillers, pressure sensitive and auto sleeve labelers and printers, automated palletizing equipment, automated carton forming and case packing equipment highly desirable
  • Experience with 24 VDC low voltage, circuit boards and servo motors is also highly desirable
