Tulloch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client in Portlethen, Aberdeen area. The role is on a contract basis for a minimum of 3 months with rolling month-to-month extensions.

The technician will work with the industrial department in Aberdeen and be responsible for mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repairs. Key requirements include 3+ years in down hole tools (fishing/remedial), ability to read drawings, independent working style, and strict adherence to QHSE

• Minimum 3 years experience in down hole tools, preferably in fishing and remedial equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Our client based in Portlethen is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join there team on a contract basis. This position will be for a min of 3 months and then a rolling month on month from there.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Participates in tool-box meetings with all members of the maintenance team.
• Is always fully compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintains all equipment in good, safe working order according to standards and reports any problem or deviation to Maintenance supervisor.
• Understand and produce high quality products from mechanical drawings provided. Inspect, support, modify, assemble, maintain, pressure testing and repair all mechanical aspects of our equipment including rapid fault finding, evaluation and diagnosing of problems that occur, in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop.

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year experience in down hole tools preferably in Fishing and Remedial equipment.
• Minimum of 3 year experience in operating Break Out Machine (BOM) (desirable)
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and read & understand technical drawings.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions
• Is personally committed to continuous improvement
• Listens and is able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers
