Portlethen-based client is seeking a Maintenance Technician on a contract basis of at least 3 months, with rolling month-to-month thereafter. The role requires hands-on maintenance of downhole tools and equipment in a workshop environment.

You will read mechanical drawings, perform fault finding, and support continuous improvements while maintaining a safe workspace and adhering to PPE and QHSE policies. The assignment is on-site in Portlethen, Scotland, through Tulloch Recruitment Ltd.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years' experience in downhole tools.
• Experience with fishing and remedial equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Our client based in Portlethen is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join there team on a contract basis. This position will be for a min of 3 months and then a rolling month on month from there.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Participates in tool-box meetings with all members of the maintenance team.
• Is always fully compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintains all equipment in good, safe working order according to standards and reports any problem or deviation to Maintenance supervisor.
• Understand and produce high quality products from mechanical drawings provided. Inspect, support, modify, assemble, maintain, pressure testing and repair all mechanical aspects of our equipment including rapid fault finding, evaluation and diagnosing of problems that occur, in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 year experience in down hole tools preferably in Fishing and Remedial equipment.
• Minimum of 3 year experience in operating Break Out Machine (BOM) (desirable)
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and read & understand technical drawings.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions
• Is personally committed to continuous improvement
• Listens and is able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers
