A leading water services provider is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to handle maintenance and repairs for sewerage vacuum systems across Huntingdon and Peterborough. Candidates should have at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification and a full UK driving licence. Starting salary: £38,000 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
£34,000 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £44,000 with further training and experience.

Reporting to the Vacuum Systems Strategy Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance, general repairs, and the rectification of faults at our sewerage vacuum systems. They will also report on failing assets, diagnose more complicated faults and optimise asset performance across Huntingdon , Wisbech and regional travel.
To be successful in this role, you will have obtained at least an NVQ level 2 (ideally level 3) Mechanical engineering qualification (or equivalent), completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence.
