Job summary

Student Roost in Glasgow is seeking a Maintenance Technician for student accommodation. You will handle building maintenance, carry out repairs, and lead on compliance checks, ensuring a safe, welcoming home for residents.

The role emphasises hands-on maintenance, safety, and using technology for reporting. You will work a 37.5-hour week, share responsibility with third-party contractors, and contribute to a friendly, inclusive workplace. DBS checks apply.

Maintenance Technician - Student Accommodation

Caretaker

Location: Merchant Studios, Glasgow Salary: £26,227.50 per annum (£13.45 per hour)

Hours: Average of 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, 8am to 8pm.

As a caretaker at Student Roost, you are involved in all aspects of building maintenance, from carrying out small repairs to escorting third-party contractors to any issues within your building. You will also take the lead on compliance checks with your keen eye for detail and precise reporting skills. And just as you care for our buildings and the people within them, we’ll take care of you.

• Electrical training will be provided however any additional maintenance qualifications are welcomed, but not essential.
