YMCA Thames Gateway Group in Romford is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Repairs and Voids Team) to join our Property Team. You will perform repairs, servicing and maintenance of the building, grounds, facilities and equipment, with a focus on empty properties and reactive works.

The role requires hands-on trade skills across building, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting and decorating, with basic electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in trades such as building, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting and decorating.
• Basic knowledge of electrical installations.

Responsabilités

• Carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance of the building and grounds.
• Prepare void properties for occupation, including decoration and repairs.
• Assist with administration and any ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Work as part of the Voids and Repairs Team and on-call duties.

YOU We're recruiting for a

Maintenance Technician (Repairs and Voids Team) to join our Property Team based in Romford. The successful candidate will be responsible for, and assist with, repairs, servicing and maintenance of the building and grounds, facilities and equipment. You will ensure void properties are ready for occupation for the Association, including reactive maintenance, decoration, repairs, administration and any ad-hoc tasks as arising. The role requires knowledge and skills in trade such as building, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, carpet fitting, painting and decorating as well as a basic knowledge of electrical installations. Summary Of Job Profile

• Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
• Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, 37.5 hours per week excluding Bank Holidays. Including a requirement to be on call at certain times outside of working hours
