Job summary

ASC Connections is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a plastics manufacturing site in the UK. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and supporting growth through proactive maintenance across injection moulding, extrusion and related equipment.

The successful candidate will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement root-cause solutions, while ensuring safety standards and accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining complex machinery.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities across mechanical and electrical faults.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/electrical drawings and PLC logic.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults across production machinery.
• Maintain injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion equipment, robots and automation.
• Identify recurring faults and implement permanent improvements to reliability.
