Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in the United Kingdom seeks a proactive maintenance engineer to join the onsite Engineering function. The role involves shift work within a five-person maintenance team, reporting to a Maintenance Team Leader, to keep production lines running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot faults, perform PPM, and maintain accurate CMMS records while contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained to level 3 minimum (multi-skilled or mechanical with additional electrical qualification preferred).
• Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing company essential.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and fabrication skills desirable.
• Experience with use of computerised maintenance management systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Working in a shift maintenance team of five reporting to a Maintenance Team Leader, within the onsite Engineering function.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults on production machinery.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.
• Produce accurate maintenance records on computerised maintenance management system.
• Participating in engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute towards improving equipment performance and reliability.
