First Military Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Bedford, Bedfordshire. You will repair, maintain and fault-find complex manufacturing machinery, aiming to keep uptime high and performance strong.

Training and experience in electronics and PCB fault-finding are essential. The role requires self-motivation, precise documentation and the ability to work with engineers, production staff and suppliers.

Formación

• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Material Science, or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Experience repairing complex machinery and diagnosing faults.
• Ability to diagnose and repair PCBs to component level.
• Strong electronics background and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain over 80% uptime of key process machinery.
• Fault-find and repair complex machinery and PCBs to component level.
• Provide direction to technicians and support shifts.
• Monitor, evaluate and improve machinery uptime and performance.
• Communicate with engineering supervisors, engineers and operators.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction projects.
• Maintain knowledge of health and safety policies and regulations.
