Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Each team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area, as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Electrically Biased Technician to join our Maintenance Team, predominantly supporting our Materials Manufacturing Facility as part of a dedicated team of multi-skilled Technicians. The Maintenance Team is vital to our Production Facility, ensuring equipment is serviced on schedule and breakdowns are resolved promptly.
This facility manufactures compounds from raw materials used in our production process in our wire and cable facility and for other sites worldwide. Equipment includes large mixers, twin screws, extruders, chillers, driers, cutters, and more.
You will need to respond to unscheduled equipment issues and diagnose complex electrical or mechanical faults with minimal support. You may also need to move between machines based on production priorities.
The successful candidate will support, coach, and mentor apprentices, helping them gain experience for their courses. After a training period, you are expected to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Perform day-to-day hands-on maintenance of key production equipment, addressing breakdowns, conducting Total Preventive Maintenance tasks, and participating in Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement programs.
  2. Ensure all production equipment is maintained to high standards, minimizing machine downtime.
  3. Work safely at all times, avoiding risks to yourself and others.
  4. Document all work performed in SAP.
  5. Communicate effectively across all levels, internally and externally.
  6. Identify spare parts needs, liaise with suppliers, and raise internal order requisitions.
  7. Accurately diagnose faults, repair, and maintain specialized production equipment.
