General Technologies, Inc., is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 3rd Shift (10:45am - 7:15pm).

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining production and facility equipment, including installation, setup, preventative maintenance, and adjustments according to technical service instructions.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Troubleshoot problems and find solutions to recurring issues.
• Perform work efficiently, prioritizing tasks appropriately.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Complete assigned jobs in a timely manner.
• Apply mechanical skills, including welding, grinding, and conveyor system maintenance.
• Implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Possess plumbing experience and electrical wiring skills.
• Inspect and test machinery to identify malfunctions.
• Dismantle machinery for diagnosis and repair.
• Clean and lubricate mechanical parts.
• Repair hoses, wiring, valves, and reassemble equipment, verifying proper operation.
• Analyze fault reports and service requests.
• Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work areas and with tools and equipment.
• Perform building maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, fuses, outlets, switches, and repairing building systems such as HVAC, pumps, chillers, and electrical systems.
• Change vacuum filters and check oil levels on machines.
• Inspect hydraulic hoses and valves for leaks.
• Perform duties as a maintenance technician and helper as assigned.
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor/Lead.

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with injection molding machines.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience troubleshooting VFD and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, and automation systems.
• Good communication skills and flexibility to work extended hours and weekends.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; not mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience on injection molding machines.

Schedule:

• 3rd Shift - Monday-Friday, 10:45pm-7:15am, with possible extended hours and weekends.
• $2.00/hour shift differential.

Physical Demands:

• Stand, walk, sit, handle objects, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell as required.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
