Job Description

Position Overview

As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for coordinating tasks and supplies to prepare vacant units for re-occupancy effectively. You will also assist the maintenance team with special projects. The Maintenance Technician I maintains the overall condition of the property, including exteriors, common areas, vacant units, and surrounding grounds. Responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, managing relationships with vendors, and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager depending on the property size.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Clean and restore recently vacated apartments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
  • Change bulbs, locks, and keys; assist with appliance installation.
  • Perform painting, caulking, drywall repairs, and manage exterior/interior maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of units to forecast repairs and quality control checks.
  • Assist with trash removal and prepping units for painting.
  • Perform minor repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Work indoors and outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions and noise.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform physical tasks as required.
