Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Assist in maintaining and repairing the physical structures of buildings by performing the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect systems such as feed systems, water systems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities to ensure efficient operations.
• Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications for machine and equipment maintenance or repair.
• Weld building equipment including load-out chutes and fabricate penning or gating components.
• Be available on call for emergency situations.

PAY RATE:

Starting at $20.50/hr, with a competitive pay based on skills and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• Two-year technical degree or higher, or equivalent experience/training.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, write simple correspondence, and apply mathematical concepts.
• Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical card.
