Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a temporary Maintenance Technician/Handyman in Liverpool. Immediate start with a pay rate of £15.50-16.00 per hour, weekly pay via PAYE. Responsibilities include repairs, maintenance tasks, and maintaining stock levels. Temporary Maintenance Technician/Handyman - £15.50-16p/h - Liverpool, L1

Immediate Start, Weekly Pay - PAYE

My client, a busy student accommodation company, requires an efficient temporary handyman to assist with reactive repairs and maintenance at one of their student accommodation sites.

Job duties include:

  • Undertaking reactive maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, and decorating.
  • Moving furniture and heavy items across the buildings.
  • Maintaining lighting and conducting statutory testing.
  • Responding appropriately to health and safety matters.
  • Managing electronic maintenance reports and updating them as needed.
  • Maintaining stock levels and informing management when tools and equipment need to be ordered.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in repairs and maintenance in residential or construction environments, including trades like plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
