Job Description:

We are seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician/Handyman to join a busy student accommodation company in Birmingham. The role offers an immediate start, weekly pay via PAYE, and involves working 5 days out of 7, totaling 40 hours per week. The position is for a minimum of 5 weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing reactive maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, and decorating.
  • Moving furniture and heavy items within the premises.
  • Maintaining lighting systems and conducting statutory testing.
  • Responding appropriately to health and safety issues.
  • Managing electronic maintenance reports and updating records.
  • Monitoring stock levels and informing management when supplies need reordering.
