Job summary

Places for People is hiring a Maintenance Technician to carry out general repairs in residents' homes and communal areas, including void properties, within your local patch. You will travel between jobs in the company van, work solo or with a small team, and ensure work meets health and safety standards.

You'll enjoy a structured day with core hours 08:00-16:30, a benefits package including 35 days annual leave, a company pension, a bonus scheme up to 2%, sick pay and a DBS check where required.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out general repairs, ideally within social housing.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within the advertised postcode area.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general repairs in properties and communal areas.
• Completing work in both occupied and void properties including cleaning and maintenance.
• Supporting installation work such as kitchens, bathrooms, and boilers.
• Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines.
• Recording work activity and maintaining accurate documentation.
