Job Title: Maintenance Technician 2

Schedule: 1:00pm-9:30pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, material handling equipment, skill saws, propane torch, man-lift, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, electrical test equipment, ladders, lift equipment jacks, chargers, and batteries.
• Conduct general building maintenance including overhead doors, construction repair, roll carts, floor repair, and second-level gates and doors.
• Perform light plumbing and carpentry work as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and promote a safety culture.
• Support the success of Staples' supply chain by maintaining equipment and facilities.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to use vendor manuals for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Training and certification to operate power material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, electric pallet jack).
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly adopt safety procedures and work safely.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature changes.
• Basic English skills (verbal and written).

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Ability to work additional hours and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 70-100 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school background.

• Pay: $26.00-$30.00/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential.
