Full Time Maintenance Technician

Middlewoods of Farmington, a senior living community committed to its mission of providing relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to work in our Farmington, CT community. The Maintenance Technician assists with a variety of maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities (internal and external) to contribute to a clean, safe, and operative physical environment for residents, employees, and visitors to the facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Performing hands-on work with general maintenance repairs of physical plant and equipment with knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
  • Cleaning duties as assigned, including snow removal and debris removal on the grounds.
  • Contributing to the effective operations of the department by demonstrating dependability.
  • Adhering to facility requirements, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborating with all staff to maintain the safety and security of all who reside, visit, or work in the facility.
Requirements:
  • Trade School or High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Work experience in construction or plant maintenance, preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Willingness to undergo a complete background check, including physical and drug screening.
  • Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
