Job summary

Recruit Genie is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support hotel facilities across the property. The role involves doing a broad range of maintenance tasks, from decorating to light plumbing, tiling and joinery, with attention to safety and high finishing standards.

The successful candidate will have at least two years' maintenance experience, be fully computer literate, and able to work at pace with minimal supervision, ensuring schedules and records are kept up to date in a busy hospitality

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in a maintenance-based role.
• General aptitude to carry out varied maintenance tasks across trades.
• Fully computer literate.
• Experience in accommodation-based commercial environments is favoured.
• Be detail-oriented with high finishing standards.
• Able to work at pace with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across trades (decorating, plumbing, tiling, joinery, PAT testing, grouting, silicone work).
• Follow schedules to keep building fabric compliant and up-to-date records.
• Ensure tasks meet high finishing standards and timescales.
• Keep maintenance and project schedules current.
• Work with Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager to maintain guest rooms and public areas.
