Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our facility's critical electrical systems and production equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational reliability and minimizing downtime through expert electrical maintenance and a commitment to safety and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical systems, including switchgear, motors, control panels, VFDs, and lighting systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical malfunctions, control system failures, and equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical maintenance manuals to perform required tasks.
Install, test, and upgrade new electrical equipment and components to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Maintain meticulous records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
Ensure all electrical maintenance work strictly adheres to Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and internal company safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, Industrial Electrician, or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and control circuits.
Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and other automated control systems is highly desirable.
Skilled in using a variety of electrical diagnostic tools, including multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities effectively.
Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job and work in a dynamic environment.
An associate degree in a technical field or a Journeyman Electrician license is a strong plus.
