Knauf UK are searching for a team member to join us as a Maintenance Technician - Electrical our day shift, working Monday to Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm.

  • Do you have experience working with PLC control systems, ideally Siemens S7?
  • Do you have knowledge of safe systems of work and a strong commitment to health and safety procedures?
  • Do you have experience using CMMS systems, such as SAP, for maintenance management?

What you'll be doing:
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Demonstrate technical competence in assessing and mitigating risks, implementing appropriate safeguards, and performing maintenance or intervention activities safely, in compliance with relevant legislation, codes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform efficient and effective reactive maintenance to address process interruptions or abnormalities, collaborating with the shift operational team as needed to support shift and plant performance goals.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and improvement tasks as outlined in the work schedule.
  • Develop in-depth process knowledge and technical expertise in designated manufacturing processes, contributing to standardisation, optimisation, improvement, and diagnostic initiatives, including setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high technical and professional standard, supervising others when necessary to maintain quality, standards, and task completion.
  • Accurately document all activities and observations in the SAP CMMS with sufficient technical detail to facilitate future analysis.
  • Actively contribute to the engineering department's responsibilities, providing support and covering for colleagues as required.
  • Perform any additional tasks necessary to fulfill the role effectively.
What we'd love for you to have:
  • Completed electrical biased apprenticeship with proven problem evaluation and resolving skills
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in standard workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Technical competence and ability to manage production improvements in a continuous process environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical power and control and PLC control systems (Ideally Siemens S7).
  • Experience of working with CMMS systems (Ideally SAP)
