CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer for our team at Hammersmith Hospital, London. The successful candidate will install and maintain plant and equipment, ensuring swift rectification of faults and defects.

Key Tasks

1. Respond to breakdown maintenance requests within SLA requirements.
2. Possess technical awareness of computer room, call centre, and trader operations, with experience in power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling, etc.
3. Perform repairs to modular UPS systems.
4. Test and diagnose power quality issues, including harmonic distortion, using onsite power analyzers.
5. Apply risk-focused maintenance approaches in data centres and critical environments.
6. Provide emergency response standby and call-out services.
7. Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager.
8. Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies per SLA.
9. Maintain updated critical engineering maintenance documentation and records.
10. Advise Facilities Management of changes in critical environment requirements.
11. Work beyond contractual hours as needed.
12. Conduct site surveys and produce work requests, method statements, and risk assessments for planned works.
13. Perform upgrade and installation work.
14. Interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes, and O&M manuals.
15. Complete reactive Helpdesk requests.
16. Monitor environmental conditions and review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
17. Adhere to financial processes at all times.
18. Draft incident reports within 24 business hours for abnormal incidents affecting system availability.
19. Identify root causes and necessary actions to restore and prevent system issues.
20. Review and document actions taken, ensuring completion.
21. Enter quotes and remedial works into the in-house system.

Qualifications and Experience

• 17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation regulations.
• 2394 / 2395 electrical testing and inspection certification.
• Experience in building maintenance within multi-tenanted commercial buildings.
• Experience working within a team in a commercial environment.
