A leading company in fluid and motion control applications is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Poole site. The role includes performing maintenance on CNC machines and ensuring site standards. Candidates will need a formal apprenticeship and experience in machine maintenance.

Qualifications

Poole

Salary Dependent on Experience + 20% Shift Allowance

Our client that design, build and service highly engineered products within fluid and motion control applications are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing and experienced team!

Maintenance Technician and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on the plant
• Fault finding within the machine shop environment and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as appropriate
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks on machines and equipment in line with the CMMS schedule
• Carry out complete site maintenance for all aspects and areas of the site, maintaining a high standard of site facilities and the overall site environments / appearance
• Conduct best practice and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement with regards to plant and equipment reliability
• Work in a safe and tidy manner in line with company policy
• Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required
• Adhering to safe working practices

The ideal Maintenance Technician will:

• Experienced with providing maintenance to CNC machines
• A formal, recognised apprenticeship related to the trade endorsed by EITB, EMTA or AMA documentation or equivalent demonstratable experience
• Fully skilled maintenance technician with either mechanical, electrical or electromechanical bias
• Practical experience in fault finding within a machine shop environment, and the ability to repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• PC Literate
• Practical ability to fault find from electrical/mechanical drawings or PLC systems relating to hydraulics or pneumatics circuits (Desirable)
• Knowledge of modern maintenance philosophy (TPM / PPM / RCM) (Desirable)
• Hold an academic qualification either BTEC, ONC, HNC/HND or equivalent

Working Hours:

• 2 Weeks of earlies: Monday to Thursday 6am – 14:15pm, Friday 6am-12pm
• 2 Weeks of lates: Monday to Thursday 2:15pm – 10:15pm, Friday 12pm – 7:30pm
• Shift Premium
