Job Description:

Location: Cannock

Shift: Monday to Friday (8am - 4pm)

Total hours worked: hours per week

A quick look at the role

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role will drive best practice daily through high engineering, compliance, and H&S standards.

Your core responsibilities

  • Provide high operational availability and efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnose faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are conducted promptly.
  • Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance and inspection programs to minimize downtime, record recurrent faults, and develop engineered solutions.
  • Carry out minor maintenance operations on plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with external contractors on repairs/maintenance work.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Fitter or similar role, ideally in green waste/water treatment or similar plants.
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical bias with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical discipline.
  • Suitable job titles include Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Maintenance Fitter, etc.
