Job Description:

Position Scope

Provide effective maintenance services to all plant/equipment used within the refining and packing areas, focusing on improving plant availability and reliability.

Salary

£47,990.50 + Shift allowance of 24.3%

Roles & Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed health, safety, quality, and environmental targets.
• Perform plant isolations.
• Maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems across various plant sections.
• Carry out reactive maintenance as needed.
• Follow maintenance plans and schedules.
• Plan and coordinate daily/weekly workloads with the Area Maintenance Leader.
• Inspect and coordinate plant insurance inspections.
• Complete plant improvement projects when possible.
• Supervise maintenance activities, optimizing resources and contractors.
• Manage contractor safety and documentation (RAMS, PTW).
• Maintain plant hygiene and cleanliness.
• Manage SAP maintenance system for budgeting, trends, and inventory.
• Provide high-tension electrical cover if necessary.
• Conduct RCA on failures and implement improvements.
• Estimate costs and generate capital requests for projects.
• Participate in all phases of capital projects, including commissioning.
• Engage with suppliers, conduct audits, and visit supplier facilities.
• Mentor and train team members on engineering and maintenance practices.
• Monitor plant reliability through uptime, OEE, and lost opportunities.
• Meet performance KPIs.
• Maintain personal development and continuous learning.
• Communicate effectively and solve problems with long-term solutions.
• Possess multi-skilled engineering capabilities.
• Understand health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Plan and organize engineering tasks involving contractors.

Essential Work Experience

• Maintenance experience in automated continuous process environments, including PLC and HT systems.
• Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.

Educational Requirements

• Preferably an HNC/NVQ 4 in an engineering discipline or at least a BTEC/ONC qualification in a relevant field.
