Job summary

AO Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our site Engineering team on our fridge plant in Telford. You will oversee plant maintenance, deliver planned maintenance schedules, and engage in improvement projects to drive reliability and reduce costs.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights). You will perform inspections, plan corrective work, manage downtime, and participate in new installations or refurbishments, while logging progress in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with mechanical or electrical bias and safety awareness.
• Experience in a similar process, production, or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
• Knowledge of environmental, health & safety regulations and safe systems of work.
• Familiar with proactive maintenance strategies and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant maintenance and deliver planned maintenance schedules.
• Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work to minimise downtime.
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and maintain a clean, safe plant.
• Monitor malfunctioning equipment and keep management updated.
• Participate in engineering projects, installations, or refurbishments.
• Log daily progress in the CMMS and support improvements.
