About The Role

Position Summary:

20 hours per week - flexible to work between the hours of 8am and 5pm - can include adhoc weekend working.

Nexxus Care is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician to help manage the general maintenance of our Residential Home in Tamworth. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys being hands-on and helping residents.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of related maintenance experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on weekdays
  • Good communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions
  • Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A courteous and professional attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • A willingness to learn and improve, with the ability to follow directions from experienced employees
  • Some assembly or physical labour may be required

Responsibilities:

  • Builds and maintains all areas of the home including but not limited to work areas, bathrooms, storage areas, equipment, etc.
  • Delivers and installs new fixtures and appliances on units as needed.
  • Systematically solve day to day problematical issue which arise
  • Ensure the service users rights are protected
  • Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management
  • To maintain maintenance skills at current level and undertake such training and development as may, from time to time, be required in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge
