Job summary

Cereal Partners UK (part of Nestlé S.A.) is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Staverton, Wiltshire on 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, with a salary of £57,900 plus bonus and benefits. You will maintain and improve production equipment, diagnose faults, and drive TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• HNC/ONC/NVQ or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/factory maintenance environment.
• Experience with PLC-controlled high-speed production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience using maintenance management systems and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Good IT skills with PC-controlled machinery and engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining process, packing and utility equipment to maximise reliability and performance.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Issuing permits to work and following safe isolation procedures.
• Supporting plant start-ups, shutdowns and product changeovers.
• Using CMMS to record work and analyse equipment performance.
• Creating, completing and managing work orders.
• Supporting continuous improvement and TPM activities.
• Contributing to spare parts control and equipment purchasing decisions.
• Maintaining product quality, integrity and food safety standards.
• Sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues and supporting skill development within the team.
• Communicating effectively across shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
