  • 12 hr. Day Shift | 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 2-2-3
  • 12 hr. NightShift | 4:00 PM– 4:00 AM | 2-2-3

Salary: $20–$30/hr (DOE) + $3,500 Sign-On BonusBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and more
Sterling Engineering is partnered with a leading manufacturer in Hampshire, IL, seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join their team. This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals in industrial maintenance looking to work in a high-tech, high-growth environment.
Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment to ensure safe, productive operations
  • Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance activities to meet production and maintenance targets
  • Perform root cause analysis using ladder logic and schematics
  • Maintain accurate logs and communicate equipment needs to supervisors
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment upgrade initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards including NFPA 70e

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Read/interpret machine manuals, electrical blueprints, and process control diagrams
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors, 3-phase power circuits, and PLCs
  • Wire control panels and size/bend conduit
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Use voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools
  • Experience with mechanical drives, gearboxes, pumps, sprockets, and sheaves
  • Basic machining: lathe, mill, drill press
  • Use of precision measurement tools and alignment techniques
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
