Maintenance Technician
Wakefield WF3 4BY
Rotating Shifts: 05:45 - 14:00, 13:45 - 22:00, 21:45 - 06:00 (Monday - Friday), 06:00 - 13:30 (Sunday). 1 in 3 weekends.

Salary: £41,163.80 per annum + shift supplement. Potential yearly earnings: £47,846.01.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join our team at the Wakefield Depot. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Your responsibilities will include Planned Preventative Maintenance, swift resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and the overall upkeep and optimization of our depot facilities and automation systems.

Role responsibilities
  • Maintenance of volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance.
  • Record keeping of maintenance work and supporting the management of outside contractors on site.
  • Immediate response to breakdowns of production equipment in accordance with production hours.
  • Assisting in the delivery of Supply Chain technical projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Recognised Level 2 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience in fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Desirable: IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Desirable knowledge: AS-i, PROFIBUS, PROFINET.
