A leading housebuilder in the UK seeks an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician. The position involves undertaking remedial works, ensuring excellent customer care, and maintaining 5* builder status. Candidates should have multi-trade experience and a valid CSCS card. This initial 12-month contract could lead to a permanent role.

A leading housebuilder have a requirement for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team.

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer care service to all Clients and Customers in accordance with the guidelines specified within the associated contract conditions and working to maintain our 5* builder status.

This position will suit someone who has multi trade experience (joinery, roofing, tiling, plastering, painting and decorating, basic plumbing and electrics) carrying out remedial works to new build properties.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To carry out remedial works as deployed by the customer's service team occupied and unoccupied properties - complete repairs on time/first visit
  • To review defects lists and procure any materials required prior to customer appointments
  • To complete stock unit inspections on dead sites in order to get these units up to the right standard for walk-through
  • To meet customers and inspect reported defects, compile reports with photographs and pass back to the customer service team so remedial work can be coordinated with sub-contractors

Role requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Multi trade experience (Joinery, plastering, roofing, tiling, painting and decorating, basic plumbing and electrics)
  • The ability to manage difficult customers, understand and explain building related issues.
  • Excellent customer focus with construction-based customer service background preferred
  • Practical knowledge of NHBC, LABC & Premier Guarantee guidelines useful but not essential
  • IT Literate
  • Full clean driving licence and willing to travel across sites in the North West
