At Axiom Personnel, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our well-established client based in East Tilbury. Due to the location, own transport is essential.

This position will be working Monday-Friday, 6:30am-4:30pm, 42.5 hours worked per week after breaks. Salary is £40000 - £48000 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

• Must have a good understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Mechanical maintenance experience – essential
• Experience of working on heavy plant & machinery – essential
• Welding – MIG, TIG AND Stick
• Cutting with oxyacetylene
• Electrical experience - Not essential but advantageous
• Team player – must have full flexibility

Responsibilities:

• Preventive maintenance – Heavy machinery/plant (grab loaders, conveyor belts etc.)
• Test equipment that has been repaired and complete adjustments
• Daily maintenance/safety checks
• Clean and perform other routine maintenance work
