Job Description

The Dartmouth Group is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for its condominium community in Central Massachusetts near the Worcester County line.

Work hours: M-F, 8am - 4:30pm.

On call rotation for emergencies during nights and weekends, once every four weeks, with compensation by 4 hours of paid overtime.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance for two communities within a mile apart.
  • Walk and inspect the property.
  • Perform grounds keeping, pick up trash, and ensure property is debris free.
  • Arrange pool and outdoor furniture.
  • Prioritize assigned work orders and follow-up with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding the work performed.
  • Minor electrical: change out light bulbs, light fixtures, and light sockets.
  • Plumbing: investigate leaks, snake drains, and troubleshoot drainage issues.
  • Carpentry: light drywall repair, paint, plaster, minor deck work.
  • Maintain pool areas, ensure cleanliness, outdoor furniture is in order, test water.
  • Assist and escort maintenance vendors and contractors onsite.
  • Upkeep of company truck.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of residential maintenance or handyman experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Own tools preferred.
  • Eye for detail, proactive, and takes initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Service-driven and team-oriented with excellent customer service, follow-up, and follow-through skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
