Overview

A phenomenal opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in Telford on a double days shift pattern (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm).

The Maintenance Technician will be electrically oriented with an understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, responsible for equipment strip down (pumps, gears), electrical installations and fault finding. Ideally, candidates will be apprentice trained with relevant qualifications, 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations, and sound knowledge of PLCs (Siemens).

Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team that covers all aspects of plant maintenance, the Maintenance Technician will provide effective maintenance support within a high-volume manufacturing environment where continuous production is paramount.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all machinery is kept in a functional and safe condition
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of ABB Robotics (modifications/programming)
  • Fault find on Siemens S7 PLCs
  • Read electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings during problem solving
  • Provide a rapid response to breakdowns and repair accordingly
  • Perform daily and weekly maintenance planned activities
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of all machinery
  • Contribute to TPM process
  • Support new installations required to improve performance
