Job Overview
The Fleet and Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing our fleet of trucks, snow removal equipment, and heavy machinery (including CAT equipment). This role includes year-round work with seasonal variation: operating and maintaining snow equipment in the winter and performing in-house repairs, welding, sandblasting, and prep work for painting during the off-season.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and accurately
Weld, solder, grind, and sandblast materials and equipment components
Prepare equipment and materials for painting
Operate snow removal and CAT equipment during winter months
Maintain records of service and repair activities
Assist with property maintenance tasks as needed
Participate in on-the-job training for CDL if applicable
Qualifications
Previous experience as a mechanic is required
Welding, soldering, sandblasting, and machinery operation experience is , but we are willing to train the right candidate
Ability to work independently and within a team
Must be able to work in cold outdoor conditions during winter
Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus (we can help you get one)
Compensation
Starting salary will be discussed based on experience
Overtime opportunities during peak snow removal season
CDL training support if needed
Tools provided or reimbursed depending on needs
