Job Title: Maintenance Technician.

Job Description:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Description: Permanent position.
  • Rate: TBC, Based on experience.
  • Hours: 8.5 hour shifts. 42 hours per week.
  • Requirements:3 Years experience.

Main Purpose:

To ensure upkeep, safety and efficiency of the facility and mechanical systems.

Duties:

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repair of building systems.
  • Maintain plant machinery, production equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify faults and conduct corrective actions on mechanical, electrical and structural issues.
  • Assist with installations, modifications and upgrades of equipment and facilities.
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve maintenance related issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly.

Qualifications, skills an Experience:

  • Experience in building and plant maintenance or facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems and HVAC maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Communication and team work skills.
  • Relevant training in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred).
