Job description

Bridgeport Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a FT Maintenance Technician to join our team.

All Shifts Available

Rate up to $21/hour

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:

The Maintenance Technician position exists to provide routine technical support in the environmental service of residents to ensure the highest quality of resident care. This role requires effective collaboration with team members to complete tasks in a timely, organized, and safe manner, focusing on quality resident care. The technician must also manage available resources efficiently.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Make preventive maintenance rounds.
2. Log and date all equipment checks and tests.
3. Log and date all preventive repairs and routine replacements (e.g., filter changes, part dilapidation).
4. Perform routine, damage, and cosmetic repairs.
5. Perform outdoor maintenance and cosmetic repairs.
6. Perform other general or specific maintenance tasks as required.
7. Attend and participate in scheduled training, education classes, and orientation programs to maintain and enhance quality of care.
8. Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
9. Maintain compliance with departmental, center, and corporate policies, procedures, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
