Maintenance Technician

Location: Portsmouth

Pay: 18 - 25 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:45, Fri 08:00 - 12:00

Maintenance Technician Overview:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to help our client keep their manufacturing machines running smoothly. You will fix and improve our equipment to make sure production is as efficient as possible.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

1. Fix machines to ensure they work well (95% up time target).
2. Find out why machines break down and repair them quickly.
3. Follow a schedule to maintain machines and make sure they are working properly.
4. Ensure we have the right spare parts.
5. Make changes to equipment to improve production.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

1. Experience in maintaining manufacturing machines.
2. Good at finding and fixing mechanical and electrical problems.
3. Able to read technical drawings.
4. Computer literate (MS Office).
5. A team player who is organised, reliable, and proactive.
6. Ideally, a Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship or ONC/HNC in Engineering.
7. At least three years of experience in a production environment.
