Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Handyperson/Joiner to support maintenance at Royal Victoria/Freeman Hospital.

The role requires use of a broad skill set to respond to daily maintenance needs, working independently or with a team. The ideal candidate will have joinery/plumbing/electrical qualifications and previous maintenance experience, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• Relevant certification or qualification within a joinery/plumbing/electrical field.
• Experience in a maintenance role or equivalent.
• Motivated to learn and advance skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests.
• Perform routine plant checks.
• Assist with general cleaning duties.

HOURS: 38.5 hours. 4 on, 4 off days and nights
LOCATION: Royal Victoria/Freeman Hospital, Newcastle

• Responding to maintenance requests.
• Performing routine plant checks.
• Assisting with general cleaning duties.

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Relevant certification or qualification within a joinery/plumbing/electrical field.
• Experience with working within a maintenance position or equivalent.
