Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of site operations, involving both preventative and reactive maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a background in general site maintenance and engineering,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general site maintenance across buildings, machinery, and facilities.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out reactive repairs in a timely manner.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations.
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a site maintenance or general engineering role.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge (multi-skilled preferred).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
  • Familiarity with tools and maintenance best practices.
  • Health & safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours if needed, including potential on-call support.

Experience

Experience in manufacturing, facilities, or a similar industrial setting

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 DOE

Location: Based at the factory site In Lympne CT21

Days : Mon – Thursday

Hours: 7am – 5pm with 30-minute break for lunch

Package:20 days holiday plus stats – rises to 25 days plus stats after 3 years
