Job summary

Colby River is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician for Leodis Square in Leeds. You will perform planned, reactive and statutory maintenance across apartments and communal areas, ensuring safety, quality and a welcoming environment for residents.

You will inspect buildings, liaise with contractors, manage tools and stock, and respond to resident requests with a focus on first-time fixes and service excellence. Shift pattern includes 40 hours/week, 5 days in a 7-day rota, 8am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential repairs, refurbishment, building maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Good working knowledge of health and safety requirements, COSHH and risk assessments.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage resident expectations and respond effectively to challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, reactive and statutory maintenance, including apartment repairs and end-of-tenancy works.
• Conduct regular building and apartment inspections, ensuring health and safety compliance and accurate record keeping.
• Maintain communal areas, gardens, pathways and external spaces to a high standard.
• Liaise with contractors and support the completion of remedial works.
• Ensure tools, equipment and maintenance supplies are appropriately maintained and stocked.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and queries, delivering excellent customer service within agreed service levels.
• Support building security, waste management and the overall safe operation of the development.
• Respond to emergencies and provide operational support to colleagues when required.

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at Leodis Square, Leeds.

In this varied role, you will carry out planned, reactive and statutory maintenance across our apartments and communal areas, ensuring the development remains safe, well-maintained and welcoming for residents.

From completing repairs and inspections to working with contractors and responding to resident queries, you'll play an important part in keeping the development running smoothly and delivering an excellent resident experience.

Working Pattern

40 hours per week

5 days across 7 on a rota basis.

8am–4pm

Please note: flexibility may be required to accommodate operational needs, including occasional changes to shift times.

Key Responsibilities

Essential

• Proven experience in residential repairs, refurbishment, building maintenance and statutory compliance.

Desirable

• A relevant trade qualification would be an advantage.
